Branding Guidelines
Branding Guidelines
Every interaction that a stakeholder has with the Keystone Oaks School District is an opportunity for the district to tell its story and to showcase its pride in the district. These interactions can include, but are not limited to, visits to the website and social media pages, email communication, visits to the buildings, wearing Keystone Oaks apparel, and representing Keystone Oaks at conferences or in public settings. Therefore, it is imperative that all Keystone Oaks employees, students, and volunteers utilize all District branding guidelines when representing Keystone Oaks.
Community organizations, such as booster groups and parent-faculty groups are permitted to use Keystone Oaks’ colors, logo, and Golden Eagle image for non-commercial purposes, such as fundraising.
The approved interlocking KO logo and Golden Eagle image are available for download. This folder also includes the file for the Freshman font, the codes for the approved colors, and a style guide for the Golden Eagle. Designers who need vector files of the approved logo and images should reach out to Sarah Welch, Communications Coordinator, via email.
Official Name
Keystone Oaks School District
Upon first reference in a document, publication, email, etc., please use the full name – Keystone Oaks School District. In subsequent references, you may refer to the district as Keystone Oaks. Please refrain from using KOSD in official communication as assistive technology does not accurately read acronyms.
Official Mascot
Golden Eagles
Golden Eagles should be used in any reference to the district’s mascot and athletic teams. Lady Golden Eagles may be used when referring to women’s athletic teams. No other modifications or alternations are permitted.
Official District Logo
The primary logo for the Keystone Oaks School District is the interlocking KO. The letters are gold and are outlined in black with an additional white outline. The logo should only be reproduced in these colors. The only exception is when the logo is placed on a white background and the white outline is invisible. Black and gray are permitted to be used as background colors to offset the gold and white colors and, in certain uses, must be used to meet compliance guidelines under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The dimensions of the logo are 539 pts x 517 pts. This ratio must be maintained at all times.

Official Golden Eagle Image
The primary image for the Keystone Oaks School District mascot is the Golden Eagle. The Golden Eagle is mostly gold, with brown and white accents and is outlined in black. The logo may only be reproduced in these colors or in black and white. The logo also includes the wording “Keystone Oaks” in an arch over the Golden Eagle. This wording may be changed to reflect a building or specific program.
The Golden Eagle logo must be proportionally balanced. To scale the logo correctly, hold down the shift key while dragging a corner of the logo to the desired size. When finished, let go of the mouse first and then lift your finger off the shift key.
Never change the logo by compressing, expanding, distorting, or changing it in any manner. Please use restraint when sizing the logo. Keep the logo proportional to the other information or items on the page. The dimensions of the logo are 368 pts x 368 pts.
The Golden Eagle image with the wording “Keystone Oaks” in an arch over the eagle’s head is the primary and preferred image for the Golden Eagle. The wording may be modified, but the font, placement, shape and kerning (space between letters) should not be modified when this version of the Golden Eagle image is used.
The following modifications are also permitted:
- Place the eagle only on the left and text to the right of the eagle, using the Freshman font.
- Place text above and below the eagle, with the eagle centered between the text.
- Place the text in an arch centered above the eagle.
Examples are available in the folder linked below. Please reach out to Sarah Welch, Communications Coordinator, for more details.

District Fonts
To match the style of the interlocking KO logo, Times New Roman is the approved font for most communication, documents, presentations, etc. Georgia is also approved and is best for large type faces. Fonts may be used in any weight or variation. Kerning (the space between letters) and leading (the space between lines) can be adjusted to improve the readability of the text.
To match the style of the Golden Eagle image, Freshman is the approved font for any wording that accompanies the logo.
District Colors
The official colors of the Keystone Oaks School District are gold and white. The color palette below represents the approved colors for Keystone Oaks’ brand identity. Old Gold and White are the primary foundation colors and should always be the first colors used in any application. Black is permitted to be used as an accent color to offset the gold and white colors and must be used to meet compliance guidelines under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Brown should only be used for the Golden Eagle. There are three shades of gray that are also permitted to be used primarily for digital applications, including social media graphics and electronic newsletters.
