As we near the end of the first quarter of the 2025-2026 school year, please make note of the following school closures, early dismissals, and information regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences: 

Monday, October 27, 2025
There is no school for students on Monday, October 27, 2025. This is a professional development day for staff in the morning and clerical time in the afternoon; there are no classes for students on this day. Students who attend Parkway West CTC will be transported to Parkway and returned to their bus stop.

All district schools and Central Administration will be open during regular business hours on Monday, October 27, 2025. Classes will resume for students on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. 

Tuesday, November 4, 2025
There is no school for students on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on this day. Your child’s teachers and the building principal will be sharing more specific information with you in the coming days regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences. 

There is no school for students who attend Parkway West Career & Technology Center on Tuesday, November 4. 

Thanksgiving Break
Keystone Oaks students will be dismissed from school early on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 and Thanksgiving Break will be observed through Monday, December 1, 2025, with classes and regular office hours resuming on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Please find below the early dismissal times for each building for Wednesday, November 26, 2025: 

• Aiken Elementary School - 11:45 a.m.

• Dormont Elementary School - 11:45 a.m.

• Myrtle Elementary School - 11:45 a.m.

• Keystone Oaks Middle & High School - 11 a.m.

Parkway West CTC students do not have classes on Wednesday, November 26. Parkway students should arrive at Keystone Oaks High School for their 4th period class, which begins at 9:15 a.m. Arrival for Parkway students should be by 9:10 a.m.  Students may arrive via their own transportation or they may take the bus closest to their home; students who take the bus will be assigned to a study hall in the library until their classes begin. 

All other students will be transported to and from school as they would on a full day of school. Free breakfast will be available; lunch is not served on early dismissal days. 

Also, please be reminded that attendance is recorded on early dismissal days, just as it is on regular school days. Students who are absent from school on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 must turn in an excuse within three days of returning to school or the absence will be marked as illegal or unexcused. Illegal and unexcused absences can lead to the procedures outlined in the district's Attendance Policy being put into effect. Excuses can be submitted through ParentSquare, emailed to the secretary in your child's school building, or can be sent to school with your child on their next school day.
