Dear Keystone Oaks Community,Â
At the Business/Legislative Meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the Keystone Oaks Board of School Directors approved a new image for our school mascot, the Golden Eagles, as well as a new color palette and a refreshed interlocking KO logo with the new colors to represent the Keystone Oaks School District. I am reaching out today to share these updated designs with the Keystone Oaks community.Â
The process of redesigning the image to represent our Golden Eagle began in the spring of 2025. Working with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Marking and Communications Department, we gathered feedback from a variety of stakeholders, including school board members, administrators, teachers, parents, and students, who ultimately made the final recommendation on the logo that they wanted to represent their school district and community.Â
One of the first steps the District took was to issue a survey to gather input that would help guide the process of designing a new logo. When asked about the characteristics that come to mind when you think about Keystone Oaks, community was the number one response, with more than 62% of 550 survey respondents selecting community as their top characteristic, followed by bold, unity, and academic success.Â
I am grateful for the time and energy that the Keystone Oaks community contributed to this process. This new Golden Eagle image is a direct reflection of those characteristics and who we are - a strong, connected community that takes pride in its past while soaring with excellence into the future.Â
You can find the approved interlocking KO logo, Golden Eagle image, colors, fonts, and other branding and marketing materials on the District’s website. Requests for a Golden Eagle image that includes your team or activity’s name can be directed to Mrs. Sarah Welch, Coordinator of Communications and Public Relations, via email at welch@kosd.org, along with any additional questions.Â
Sincerely,Â
William P. Stropkaj, Ed.D. Superintendent Keystone Oaks School District
